When you hit 30, things seem to start to fall into place. You have some sort of idea where you want to head career-wise if you aren’t already there, you may be settled down with a family and you finally start to get some disposable income. They say your 30’s are the best years of your life and for good reason, alongside these things, you also just start realizing how important a small close-knit group of friends are.
You don’t need to please everyone and you start to look to put your feelings first. Here are some of the top things to do in your 30’s to make them just that extra bit special.
Start a Side Hustle
Most people need an extra bit of income these days. Whereas before a household would have one earner, now the normal is for both parents to earn money as well as earning extra on the side. So having a side hustle is a great exciting part of life. You can turn things like your hobbies into small businesses. Do you sew? Or do you make pottery or perhaps you love to paint, you can make these things and then set up a small independent online shop where you can sell what you make. If you don’t have that but you have extra time on your hands you can look to do something like being a virtual assistant or a social media manager. These things have courses online everywhere. Then you can start with a client or two and build it up as much as you want and need to to have the business the size you want. A lot of the time people will have their side hustle as their passion and real-life goal and try to attain the life where that is their normal job compared to the standard 9-5 job a lot of us have.
Own a Holiday Home
If you come to the part in your life where you can and want to buy a second property then it is a great way to use that disposable income you have been saving. So many people invest in property as it has such a food return and something you can do for a long time. If you are looking to get a holiday home be sure to get the right help and advice and speak to a real estate agency.
Join an Exercise Class
As you get older you find it is harder and harder to keep in shape. So it can be really hard to stay motivated and work out. You don’t have to go to the gym for hours and do the same old thing. The best thing you can do is find an exercise class you will enjoy, there is so much to choose from. If you look at finding something that suits you then you are also more likely to stick it out. If you want something gentle you can look at yoga but if you want something more intense you can look at high-intensity interval training. If you are doing it right they can both make you break a sweat.
